Special Alert! May 2nd has been a huge, historic day for the United Methodist Church. After waiting for 52 years, Major change has finally come to the “Social Principals.”

Over the last 52 years, the UMC “Social Principals” have had elements added to and subtracted from it. But during the last 2 years a group has been working on a complete revision from the ground up. Today, the last section was adopted. This meant the end of the  “Incompatibility Clause.”  Another important item that was  included in the legislation was a new definition of marriage.   Stay tuned to find out what happened, why it’s a historic move for the UMC, and what it means to our LBGT+ brothers and sisters.
