What do Jesus Christ, the cross, and castration have in common? More than you think! We believe that Christ died to take away our sins. But must blood be spilt in order for us to be saved? Did Jesus have to die in order for God to forgive us? Moral influence theory offers us a different way to understand the cross. Maybe God isn’t mad at us.
